Deer Farmers Gear Up for 2009 Conference and Exhibition

This year will mark the 20th Annual Conference. This event will take place March 5-7, 2009 at the Lexington Convention Center in Lexington, Ky. NADeFA expects more than 1,000 attendees from across the country, as well as from Canada and Mexico.

The conference will be filled with educational sessions presented by speakers who are experts in their respective fields. These sessions will provide information on topics such as animal health, research, nutrition, EHD, marketing techniques, insurance opportunities and much more.  Keynote speakers will entertain the audience with their insight on the importance of promoting the Cervid Industry. The exhibit hall is filling up fast and will include many producers and industry related service vendors from all over North America.

Entries for the Annual Antler Competition will begin on Thursday with winners announced at the Saturday morning breakfast. To keep all attendees busy, there will be exciting activities throughout the three-day event for children and spouses.  Ambitious bidders will enjoy the live and silent auctions from Thursday through Saturday.

The Cervid Livestock Foundation will sponsor the Second Annual Venison Culinary Competition along with the Second Annual Venison/Elk Product Competition.  Be sure to check out all the entries of our member Photo Contest, pictures of the Big Boys, Action Shots and Cervids with People. While in Lexington, the Horse Capital of the World and Bluegrass Region, enjoy more than 100 unique attractions.
