Outdoor Patriot Radio Show

Coming of Age

As we move into our third year, ADWA is growing and we are, indeed, creating a better habitat for business. From helping members get the word out about their products and services to providing outdoor education and affordable hunting opportunities for our youth, ADWA is working to facilitate commerce and conservation.

This year is a coming-of-age year for ADWA. We are introducing new services and creating new membership packages that will broaden our reach like never before. For example, in just a couple of weeks from now, we will unveil an all-new online service for ADWA members — iHuntAmerica.com, a comprehensive database of hunting ranches, game preserves and outfitters.

As a free service to sportsmen, iHuntAmerica.com will allow ADWA members to promote their hunting ranches and outfitting services, and hunters will be able to freely search and locate hunts by price, animal species, hunt type, guide service and/or lodging facilities. Honestly, I have not seen another web site that offers this level of depth in search functionality locating hunts.

iHuntAmerica will also feature hunting gear and products, classified ads, field journals, picture gallery, hunting tips and much more. Every ADWA member in the hunting industry will benefit from this extra service, and we’re very excited to offer it.

We will also soon introduce our new ADWA Outdoor Patriot Podcast. The new Internet-based broadcast will help keep sportsmen up-to-date on important issues that impact the industry and promote our outdoor way of life. From supporting the embattled ranchers in North Dakota fighting for their private property rights to promoting outdoor participation, the Outdoor Patriot Podcast will give ADWA another voice to spread the word across North America and beyond.

Of course, the Outdoor Patriot Podcast will also present new opportunities for ADWA members to showcase their products, services and events.

We have even more surprises in the works that will help promote our members in the deer farming industry, but that is a surprise that will have to wait until March.

The mission to ‘spread the word’ about our industry is unending and we will continue to engage as many venues as possible — our Points Journal, Spikes Magazine, Action Alerts, ADWA web site, trade shows, youth events, FFA seminars and now podcasts — to get the message out about the deer and wildlife industry.

These projects that promote the industry all start with you, our members. Without your continued support, none of this would be possible. Spreading the word for industry growth would fall silent. The effort to increase youth education and participation would fail. But, working together, we can create a better habitat for business, grow the industry and preserve our American outdoor traditions.

Thank you all, and I look forward to working with you in 2010.
